I’m a little late with these photos, but I want to share with everyone my runway coverage from New York for fashion week.

For a long time, Milan and Paris were the only places with a fashion week dedicated to men.  London followed a few years ago and has been wildly successful.

2015 was the inaugural year for New York Fashion Week: Men’s, and it was amazing. I went in with reserved expectations but I ended up having a killer time. The energy, from everyone excited to be there, combined with talented American designers, and sick street style, made this a great event.

Home designers, like Michael Bastian, killing it on the runway helped make NYFW:M a huge success.

Michael Bastian, who founded the eponymous label in 2006, and was awarded menswear designer of the year in 2011 by the Council of fashion designers of America (CFDA), debuted his 2016 Spring/Summer collection on the third day of NYFW:M.

“Bel Air Featuring the Sharp American”

“Celebrities, the beach and Coachella, that’s what everyone thinks about when they think of Los Angeles!”

Bastian said in a post-show interview with the L.A. Times.

“Then you see these people living in Bel-Air and Beverly Hills and they’re so chic and have so much style. I love the idea that in L.A. that you can’t really leave your door without expecting to be shot [by a photographer]…you have to kind of dress up a little. So the idea was another version of L.A. style other than beach, grunge and the celebrity thing.”

The models, styling, and energy were on point! Bastian delivered with a collection ranging from swimwear, to perfectly tailored suits and formal wear. The double breasted window pane suit, and the banana leaf slippers are on my must get list for next spring.

White jeans can be intimidating to some men; this is where you can set yourself apart this summer. Naysayers fail to realize how effortless a white pair of jeans can be, dressed up or down.

We all know the brutal heat can make things challenging when trying to dress up, having pants that anchor just about any colored shirt in your closet can make things a lot easier. Throw on a colorful knit polo with loafers to keep things casual or dress up your look by adding a chambray shirt with an unlined blazer.

Fit is key to staying cool, go slim through the leg, but not so skinny that they’ll restrict the natural airflow. Lose the excess fabric pooling around the ankles and let those puppies breath. Give them a roll or have your tailor hem them with a minimal break that will show just enough skin to drive the ladies wild!

White jeans are attention grabbers, oozing with style and sophistication. They’re perfect for anyone looking to update or take their summer wardrobe in a fresh direction. White jeans are a versatile and timeless addition to any wardrobe. Wear them with confidence and you’ll be sure to stand out from the summer crowds.
